Trim Installation

Trim is the detail that separates an average room from a refined one. Our carpenters install baseboards, crown molding, door casings, chair rail, and wainscoting with tight mitered joints, proper nail placement, and seamless caulk lines — ready for paint and built to last.

How We Work

Our Process

01

Profile Selection & Measurement

We assess your room style and recommend appropriate trim profiles. All walls and openings are precisely measured to minimize waste and ensure clean joint planning at corners and transitions.

02

Material Preparation

Trim is cut to length with compound miter angles for accurate inside and outside corners. Profiles are checked for bows or defects before installation begins.

03

Layout & Reveal Lines

For door casings, we snap consistent reveal lines on all jamb faces to ensure uniform spacing. Crown molding is planned around ceiling irregularities before the first piece goes up.

04

Installation & Fastening

Trim is secured with finish nails at stud locations and over solid blocking where needed. All outside corners are mitered; inside corners are coped for a gap-free fit even as wood expands and contracts.

05

Caulking & Patching

Every joint, nail hole, and wall-to-trim gap is filled and caulked with paintable caulk to create a monolithic, finished look ready for the painter.

06

Inspection & Touchup

We examine every linear foot of installed trim under raking light to catch any gaps or surface defects, then walk the room with you for final approval.
